Setup Magix
Dial-Up Connection in Windows 2000 Pro
- From the desktop, double click My Computer icon

- My Computer window opens. Double-click on the Control Panel
icon

- Double click on Network and Dial-up Connections icon

- Double click on Make New Connection icon

- You can seeThe Network Connection Wizard window opens.
- Click on the Next > button to proceed

- Click on the option box Dial-up to the Internet and click on
Next > button to continue

- Click on the 3rd option box I want to setup Internet connection
manually, or I want to connect through a local area network [LAN]
- Click on Next > button

- Click on the option box I connect through a phone line and a modem
- Click on the Next > button

- Select the modem type that you have installed previously and
click on Next > button to continue

- Type in the Telephone number as 65379362
- Click on Advanced... button to continue

- From the Connection type option, check the option box PPP
(Point to Point Protocol)
- Click on Addresses tab

- Please configure as follows:
- Under the item IP Address
- select Internet Service Provider automatically provides one
- Under the item DNS Server Address
- Select Always use the following :
Primary DNS server: 165.21.83.88
Secondary DNS server: 165.21.100.88
Click on OK button to continue

- Click on Next > button

- Type in your userid and password and click on Next
> button

- Type in Magix at the Connection name.

- Check on the option box No and click on Next > button
(If you would like to configure the mail account, you can check the
option box "yes" to continue)

- Click on Finish button to end the setup

- You will see a Magix icon created at the Network and Dial-Up
Connections

- You have successfully created the Magix Connection in Windows 2000
pro.
