Setup Magix
Dial-Up Connection in Windows 95b/98/98SE
- From the Windows Desktop , double click on My Computer icon
- Double click on Dial-Up Networking icon
(If you cannot find the Dial-Up Networking icon , you can find
it in the Control Panel)

- Double click on Make New Connection icon

- Type in the name as "Magix"
- Click on Next > button

- Type in Telephone number as 65379362
- Select the country code as "Singapore(65)"
- Click on Next > button

- Click on Finish button

- You should see the "Magix" icon created at the Dialup Networking

- Select the Magix icon and right mouse button to select Properties
option

- Ensure the Telephone number is 65379362
- Uncheck the option "Use country code and area code"
- For Windows 95b , click on Server Type... button

- For Windows 98/98SE , click on Server Types tab

- Configure the settings as follows :
- From the Type of Dial-Up Server , Select "PPP: Windows 95, Windows
NT 3.5 , Internet"
- From the Advanced options , check the option box "Enable Software
compression"
- From the Allowed network protocols , check the option box "TCP/IP"
- Click on TCP/IP Settings... button

- Check the options Server assigned IP Address and Specify
name server addresses
- Configure the settings as follows :
Primary DNS : 165.21.83.88
Secondary DNS : 165.21.100.88
- Check the option "Use Default gateway on Remote Network"
- Click on OK button

- Click on OK button 2 times to close the windows
- You have successfully created the Magix Connection in Windows 95/98/98SE.
