Setup Magix
Dial-Up Connection in Windows ME
- From the Windows Desktop , click on Start > Settings > Dial-Up
Networking

- Double click on the Make New Connection icon

- Click on Next > button

- Type in the name as "Magix" and click on the Next >
button to continue

- Type in Telephone number as "65379362"
- Select the Country code as "Singapore(65)"
- Click on the Next > button to continue

- Click on Finish button

- You will see Magix icon is created in the Dial-Up Networking

- Select the Magix icon and right mouse button to select Properties
option

- Ensure the Telephone number is "65379362"
- Uncheck the option "Use area code and Dialing Properties"
- Click on Networking tab

- Configure the settings as follows :
- From the Type of Dial-Up Server, select PPP: Windows 95, Windows
NT 3.5 , Internet
- From the Advanced options, check the option box Enable Software
compression
- From the Allowed network protocols, check the option box TCP/IP
- Click on TCP/IP Settings... button

- The TCP/IP Settings... properties window opens. Please configure as
follows :
- Select the item Server assigned IP Address
- Select the item Specify name server addresses and enter the
following :
Primary DNS: 165.21.83.88
Secondary DNS: 165.21.100.88
- Select the item Use Default gateway on Remote Network
- Click on OK button

- Click on Security tab and type in the user name and
password
- Click on Scripting tab

- Leave the settings as default and click on Multilink tab

- Leave the settings as default and click on Dialing tab

- Leave the settings as default and click on OK button

- You are ready to connect to Magix

- You have successfully setup the Magix Connection in Windows ME
