I have roaming problem

Common roaming problems are :

  1. Unable to Login

  2. Here are some possible solutions you should perform :

    • Check Login ID

    • Ensure the format is email address e.g. userid@magix.com.sg .

    • Check Password Reset

    • Ensure that you have not reset your login password in 2-3 hours ago. It is not updated immediately to the roaming autheticate server. It will takes effect after 3 hours.

    • Try Alternative Access Number

    • Remember to try to dial using different access number available in GRIC or iPass phonebook. Sometimes the access number of the ISP is not working .

    • Update Phonebook

    • Try to update the GRIC/iPass Connection phonebook locally before going to oversea. Sometimes the access number has changed.

    • Reduce Modem Speed

    • Try to set the modem speed to 19200 bps.

  3. Cannot Send Email


    • New Server Settings
      Configure the Incoming Mail Server [POP3] to "globalpop.magix.com.sg" and
      Outgoing Mail Server [SMTP] to "globalmail.magix.com.sg"
      (without quotation)


    • Old Server Settings
      Configure the Outgoing Mail Server [SMTP] to "roaming.magix.com.sg"
      (without quotation)


    • Enter proper email address "userid@magix.com.sg" at the Replying Email Address as it will cause problem when sending email if it is not properly done.

    • When sending and receiving mails from the server, please try at least twice to confirm that the process has completed successfully

  4. Cannot Surf the Internet
    • Check that web browser are configure to the proxy setting requirement

      • for iPass - disable proxy settings for irrespective of which access numbers used.
